All staff have decided that they want to support a charity each year.

How do we decide which charity?

We asked everyone to nominate a local charity to support and then held a ballot to decide.

This year's result ended in a dead heat between Claire House, a local childrens hospice, and Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.

We have decided to double our efforts and raise money for both by holding various events throughout the year. 

Daulby Read and Claire House Hospice

The staff of Daulby Read has raised £500 for Claire House Children's Hospice which was presented by Brian Gelling to their senior fund manager, Abi Smith.

Money was raised through various offic antics, such as quizzes, dress down days and even a raffle for an i-pad.

Claire House Hospice was unanimously chosen by the staff as Daulby Read's lead charity as all were aware of the excellent work and support they do for local children and their families.

Christmas Function at the Abode on the 2/12/11 in aid of Claire House

We would like to congratulate Jenny from Edge Transport & Aaron & Partners for organising this excellent event, all the team were proud to support such an evening.

Edge Transport have informed us that they believe they will raise £ 1,500.00 for Claire House. Thanks to all the other local business that helped make the event a success.
