“Our Skills Share workshop held in association with Chester Voluntary Action on the 2^nd March 2012 was a great success, attended by over 20 representatives from local charities and social enterprises.

It was a real eye opener for many who came along for an informal discussion on 4 selected key areas that we thought would be relevant to all.  Our prime objective was to educate and advise those who attended through the minefield of Insurance, and what they can do to help protect their charity and its trustees, volunteers and end service users.

As well as getting a few brains thinking in the room, it equally soon got us to realise that as a broker there is a real need for us to pass on such information, and the Chester Voluntary Action Skills Share programme is something we are delighted to have been part of.

Our congratulations goes to Emma Williams of Blacon Community Trust, the winner of our raffle for our £50 donation on the day.
